This approach makes it possible to design virtuous products that take into account all the environmental, social, and philosophical improvements in our industrial processes.
“Reasoned Design” covers our unique strategy of incorporating design and wellbeing into our creations:
And all of this at reasonable prices.
EUROSIT’s activity is based on the three pillars of corporate social responsibility (CSR): Economic, social and environmental.
The inclusion of CSR in our strategy is essential. It allows us to anticipate change and preserve our ethics with regard to issues as crucial as the environment, people and their futures,
and the economy and quality, for customers and employees.
To make this commitment more visible, our approach has been assessed by AFNOR, according to the ISO 26000 standard. The audit resulted in the award of a Level 4 “Exemplary” assessment.
Corporate and Social Responsibility, or CSR, is a very modern concept, whereby companies voluntarily take into account social, environmental and economic issues in both their business activities and their relationships with all stakeholders.
Eco-social design is an integral part of our QSE initiative, based on the technology watch performed by our R&D department and supported by outside technology providers (textiles, wood, plastic, etc.).
Eco-social design is still a novel approach in the industry, taking the environment, product recycling and even the arduous nature of the work into account, from design right through to delivery. It is fully integrated into our new product development process by means of a dedicated task force consisting of a designer, the head of R&D, suppliers and production operatives.
EUROSIT’s commitment to this approach is driven by our determination to safeguard French expertise and creative skill.
A certified pioneering company Naturally EUROSIT has a unique, proactive approach to sustainable development. Determined to achieve excellence in this domain, it has introduced a certificationbased approach to guarantee the quality of its commitment:
In accordance with articles 9 and 67 of the AGEC law and with the aim of reducing our plastic packaging, the reusable textile covers supplied with Eurosit products must be returned to our Nevers factory at the following address:
EUROSIT SA – ZI St Eloi – B.P.11 – 58028 NEVERS CEDEX
EUROSIT recovers and recycles end-of-life office furniture. In 2011, the company joined another 12 French manufacturers in founding VALDELIA (Valorisation des Dechets lies a l’Ameublement/ Recovery of Furniture- related Waste), an environmental organisation responsible for organising a recycling stream for end-of-life office furniture.
The business’s success and the rewards of work are shared with employees through a profit-sharing scheme. In 2009, EUROSIT achieved OHSAS 18001 certification in recognition of its achievements in terms of safety and wellbeing in the workplace.

Following the French Environmental Summit, known as Le Grenelle de l’Environnement, a law was introduced making it the producer’s responsibility to deal with end-of-life office furniture. The decree, dated 6, 2012 (decree n° 2012 – 22) obliged anyone bringing items of furniture to the French market to set up a system for the separate collection and processing of its end-of-life waste materials.
To meet this obligation, manufacturers, including, of course, EUROSIT, decided to address the challenge of finding appropriate collection solutions as a group, and created VALDELIA, an approved eco-organisation, to set up a proper collection and recycling service.
The VALDELIA professional furniture recovery stream provides a collection and processing service for waste furniture parts (Déchets d’ Éléments d’ Ameublement /DEA). The organisation offers the great advantage of handling all end-oflife furniture throughout France, providing a single point of contact whatever the item of furniture and wherever it may be.
